Amazon ‘in talks’ for fourth series of Clarkson’s Farm

Amazon bosses are in “positive talks” with Jeremy Clarkson over running a fourth series of Clarkson’s Farm, according to reports.

A number of national media news outlets, including the Independent and Mail Online, are reporting that Amazon Prime Video is in discussions with Mr Clarkson over Clarkson’s Farm 4.

Deadline reports: “Discussions have been positive and there is ambition on both sides to bring the show back.”

Sources at Amazon told Farmers Weekly that there is no green light on any deal yet. The official line from Amazon is “no comment”.

Previous reports in January said Amazon had cut ties with Mr Clarkson following an article he wrote in a newspaper column in The Sun in which he said he “hated” Meghan Markle “on a cellular level”.

The former Top Gear presenter, 63, later apologised for the piece, which received more than 20,000 complaints.

Filming for season three of Clarkson’s Farm is under way at Diddly Squat Farm, a 404ha mixed enterprise in Oxfordshire, a working business which has its own farm shop and beer brand.

A source told Farmers Weekly the third series, which is expected to air on Amazon Prime Video next year, will tackle both farming and environmental issues.
