South East Water

South East Water supplies top quality drinking water to 2.3 million customers across the south east of England. Each day, the company supplies an average of 520 million litres of drinking water.

They have been working closely with farmers and landowners in priority catchments since 2015 to help minimise the risk of soil, fertiliser and pesticides washing from fields into rivers and groundwater.

This is because removing these substances at the water treatment works is expensive, so prevention is best. It also means farmers and landowners benefit by losing less of these substances to waste – saving money and time.
